Sea Grill at Las Ventanas al Paraíso

Sea Grill is the beachfront restaurant at Las Ventanas al Paraíso, the Rosewood resort at kilometer 19.5 of the Tourist Corridor. It's the resort's casual option, right at the edge of the sand facing the Sea of Cortez, and it's the easiest way to see Las Ventanas without committing to a dinner at Árbol. The dress code is simply casual.

Everything goes over mesquite. On the 2025 dinner menu, the dish for a table is the Nayarit-style zarandeado fish, a whole fish of about 900 grams grilled and served family style. Around it, we'd add the local catch tiradito with hoja santa leche de tigre, lacquered octopus with ancho chile barbecue sauce and the suckling pig carnitas with house-made corn tortillas. The wood-fired seafood rice and the shared grilled seafood platter work well for bigger groups. Menu prices include tax and the 15% service charge, which makes the bill less of a surprise than at most resorts.

Sea Grill serves all day: breakfast from 7 AM to 11 AM, lunch from 11:45 AM to 5 PM and dinner from 5 PM to 10 PM. Lunch is our favorite time, with the beach in full sun and the pace slower. Worth the 25-minute drive from Villa 1? For a long beach lunch with a group that wants a taste of Las Ventanas at a fraction of Árbol's cost, yes. If your group only wants fish tacos and beer, Zipper's at Costa Azul is 10 minutes further up the road and far cheaper.
