A Cabo wedding villa does two jobs: it's where the couple and closest family stay, and it's the calm place to get ready on the day. Villa 1 does both well. It sleeps eight in four en-suite bedrooms, with a master suite and balcony over Médano Beach, and it's inside Hacienda Beach Club, which runs its own event spaces next to the villa. What it isn't is a wedding venue, and it helps to know that before you plan.
What the villa is great for
Guests have used Villa 1 for:
- The couple's base for the week, with family in the other three bedrooms.
- Getting ready: four bathrooms, good light, a balcony for dress photos.
- A private chef dinner for immediate family the night before.
- Honeymoons, vow renewals and milestone birthdays for up to eight.
- A recovery day by the pool after the wedding.

What needs approval, and what isn't possible
Our booking terms are clear: events, parties, weddings, photoshoots and gatherings beyond the registered guests must be approved in writing in advance, and may involve extra fees and requirements. Only registered guests (up to eight) stay overnight. The villa isn't set up to host a wedding ceremony or reception with outside guests. If you'd like something small at the villa, such as a toast on the terrace or a photographer during getting ready, ask us first.
Venues next door and nearby
Hacienda's beachfront restaurant, Cocina y Cantina, publishes an events program with a beach ceremony area and terraces for larger groups, handled by its own events team. That means your ceremony can be a short walk from the villa. Inland, Flora Farms and Acre near San José are popular for a farm setting. Our weddings and celebrations guide covers venues, permits and legal requirements.

Legal or symbolic ceremony
Only a civil marriage performed by the Mexican civil registry is legally binding, and it needs apostilled documents, local blood tests and several days in Baja California Sur before the wedding. Most destination couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Cabo. A local wedding planner is worth it either way.
Photos at El Arco and Médano
From the beach in front of the villa you look straight at Land's End, which makes sunrise and late afternoon photos easy. For the arch up close, photographers book a boat to Lover's Beach or shoot on a sunset cruise. Beaches are public, so expect passers-by.
Timing your celebration
November to April is the most reliable weather, and peak season for venues and photographers. Summer is cheaper and hotter, but falls in hurricane season (mid-May to November, highest risk August to October); buy insurance and have an indoor backup. See best time to visit Cabo.
The wedding week, day by day
Couples who use Villa 1 as their base usually follow a similar week. Arrive four or five days before the wedding, with immediate family in the other bedrooms. Day two: a welcome dinner at the villa cooked by a private chef. Day three: a meeting with the planner and a quiet beach day. The day before: rehearsal at the venue, then an early night. Wedding day: hair and makeup at the villa in the morning, getting-ready photos on the balcony, and a short walk or drive to the ceremony. The day after: pool, hot tub and leftovers.
Tell us your wedding date when you book, so we can plan arrival services and any approvals well ahead.
