Which Cabo golf courses can you actually play?
Los Cabos has more than a dozen golf courses, but fewer than you'd think are simply bookable. As of September 2026, the courses any visitor can book are the Cabo del Sol Course, Puerto Los Cabos, Club Campestre San José, Solmar Golf Links and the Ocean nine at Palmilla. Quivira, the highest-ranked course in Cabo, needs a stay at a Pueblo Bonito resort. The rest are private clubs you play only as a member's guest.
Two status changes matter this season. Cabo Real closed on September 28, 2026 for a full renovation, with no reopening date announced. And we couldn't confirm that the Cabo San Lucas Country Club, the course closest to town, is operating in 2026, so call before you plan around it.

Tee time tips for Los Cabos
- Book early for November to April. Questro Golf (Puerto Los Cabos and Club Campestre) opens tee times 12 months ahead, and morning slots in high season go first.
- Twilight is the value play. Published twilight rates run roughly 20 to 30 percent below morning rates, and the afternoon wind usually drops late in the day.
- Summer is cheaper and hot. From June to October rates fall (Puerto Los Cabos was $280 in low season 2026) but midday heat is serious and many courses aerify greens; ask about dates before you book.
- Expect carts to be mandatory and shared. Most courses are cart-only with shared carts, collared shirts required and no denim.
- Rental clubs are good. Most clubs rent current TaylorMade or Callaway sets for about $65 to $85, which beats flying with a bag for one or two rounds.
- Allow extra time for gates. Every corridor course sits inside a gated development; add 5 to 15 minutes to the drive for the security check and the ride to the clubhouse.
