If you've stayed at Hacienda Beach Club before, or read the reviews, you know why people come back. A Hacienda Beach Club villa rental gives you the resort's beach, grounds and service with your own house, pool and kitchen. Villa 1 is one of the beachfront villas: four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, sleeps eight, with a private infinity pool and hot tub facing Land's End.

We're the owners and we take bookings directly here, so you get the villa's real calendar and the direct rate.

About Hacienda Beach Club & Residences

Hacienda Beach Club & Residences is on Paseo de La Marina, on Médano Beach at the marina end. It's a residential resort: villas, condos and penthouses around shared pools and gardens, with a beachfront restaurant, spa and concierge. It was ranked #10 on Tripadvisor's Top 25 Hotels in the World in 2021 and won Travelers' Choice Best of the Best in 2024.

The feel is closer to a private community than a party hotel. Neighbors are families and couples, grounds are quiet at night, and the beach in front is calmer than the middle of Médano.

Villa vs condo at Hacienda

The resort has several unit types. The big difference with a beachfront villa is that the pool and hot tub are yours alone, and the house is at beach level with its own entrance to the sand. Condos and penthouses share the resort pools and reach the beach through common areas. For a group of eight, a villa also means one kitchen and one living room where everyone ends up in the evening.

Resort amenities villa guests use

Staying at Villa 1 includes access to the resort's shared facilities:

  • Resort pools and gardens
  • Spa and wellness center (treatments booked separately); see spa and wellness
  • Gym and pickleball courts
  • Beachfront restaurant Cocina y Cantina
  • 24/7 concierge and free parking garage
  • A golf cart for getting around the grounds

Kids' Club and other resort services

The resort advertises a supervised Kids' Club. Ask us if it's running for your dates and how villa guests book it before you plan around it.

Restaurant bookings, boats, golf tee times and in-villa services go through the concierge. For private chef dinners at the villa, see villa with a private chef.

Eating at and around the resort

Cocina y Cantina on the resort's beachfront covers breakfast to dinner with Land's End in view, which is handy on arrival day. Beyond the resort gates, the marina restaurants and downtown are a walk away; see our restaurants and bars listings for what's near the villa. For a night in, the villa kitchen and outdoor BBQ make cooking for eight easy, or book a chef through the concierge.

Why book your Hacienda villa direct

Hacienda villas are listed on several platforms and by agencies. Booking Villa 1 here means you deal with the owners, you see the full price with taxes and cleaning before paying, and the direct rate is below our own Airbnb and VRBO prices for the same dates. You can pay by card (split across up to five cards) or by bank wire. More on the book direct page.

How a villa stay differs from a hotel stay

At the resort's hotel-style units, you arrive at reception and your day is organized around shared pools and restaurant meals. In a villa, you have a house: your own entrance, kitchen, laundry, living room and pool. You still use the resort's facilities, but nobody else sits by your pool, and dinner can be whatever and whenever you like.

The practical difference for groups is money and time. One villa for eight replaces four rooms, breakfasts happen at home, and you don't have to coordinate the whole group through a lobby. The trade-off is that you're responsible for the house: keep doors locked when you go out, keep glass away from the pool, and follow the resort's rules on noise and visitors.

Honest fit check

When a Hacienda villa makes sense, and when it doesn't

A good fit if

  • You want a resort's facilities with a private house
  • You like calm grounds and neighbors who keep it civil
  • You want to walk to the marina and still sleep somewhere quiet
  • You've stayed at Hacienda and want more space this time

Maybe not if

  • You want an all-inclusive meal plan
  • You're planning a loud party; it's a residential resort with rules
  • You need more than four bedrooms
