If you've already decided Médano is your beach, the next question is which part of it. A Médano Beach villa rental at Hacienda Beach Club puts you at the marina end, looking straight at Land's End. You're a short walk from the marina docks and downtown, and away from the loudest beach clubs in the middle of the sand.
Villa 1 has four bedrooms, sleeps eight, and has its own infinity pool, hot tub and private beach access. The practical stuff (which end, which clubs, how loud) is below.
Which end of Médano you're on
Médano is a long crescent. The middle is where the big day clubs are, with music, contests and packed loungers at spring break. The far eastern end has large all-inclusive hotels. Hacienda Beach Club sits at the western, marina end, which is calmer on the sand but closest to town.
That position is why guests use the marina so much: sportfishing boats, sunset sails and Land's End boat tours all leave from docks a walk from the villa.
A day on Médano from the villa
Early morning is the best time on the water: glassy, few boats, good for paddleboards and a swim. By late morning the water taxis are running to Lover's Beach, and the beach clubs open. Lunch can be at the villa, at Cocina y Cantina on the resort's beachfront, or at The Office, which has had tables in the sand for decades.
Afternoons are for the pool and the hot tub. In the evening, walk the marina boardwalk to dinner, or watch the rocks light up from the terrace.

Médano beach clubs within walking distance
You don't need a beach club with a private pool at home, but they're fun for an afternoon:
- Mango Deck: the big, loud one with live music.
- SUR Beach House: more polished, with lounger minimum spends.
- Taboo Beach Club: adults only, DJs, popular with bachelorette groups.
- The Sand Bar: casual drinks on the sand.
Walking, carts and taxis
Downtown Cabo is compact. Most of our guests walk to the marina and to dinner and take a taxi or Uber back late at night. The villa's golf cart is for getting around the resort grounds. For the airport and trips up the corridor, see our getting around Cabo guide. A Walmart Supercenter is about five minutes away by car for groceries.
Médano noise and what to expect
Médano is not a secluded beach. You'll hear boat engines in the day and, on some nights, music from town, especially around spring break and big weekends. Inside the villa, with the doors closed and the air conditioning on, it's quiet. If silence is your top priority, a corridor villa may suit you better; our where to stay guide compares the areas.
Médano through the seasons
Médano changes a lot over the year. From mid-December to April, humpback whales swim into the bay and are often seen from the beach, the days are dry and warm, and it's the busiest time on the sand. Mid to late March is spring break, when the middle of the beach is at its loudest. From May to July the water warms up, crowds thin, and the bay is often flat in the mornings. August to October is hot and humid, with the chance of a storm swell, and the lowest villa rates of the year. October brings the big fishing tournaments to the marina next door.
