Jack Nicklaus, Tourist Corridor

Palmilla Golf Club

Palmilla was Jack Nicklaus's first Signature course in Latin America: 27 holes in three nines above One&Only Palmilla, near the San José end of the corridor.

Updated September 2026

The course

The Mountain and Arroyo nines opened in 1992 and the Ocean nine in 1997. The Ocean nine drops about 600 feet over its first six holes toward the sea, and the club names Ocean 3, Mountain 5 and Arroyo 7 as its signature holes. Each nine is par 36.

Who can play

Here's the catch: the club's site now says only the Ocean nine is open to all players, while Mountain and Arroyo are reserved for members and One&Only Palmilla guests. If you're not staying at the resort, ask how an 18-hole round is set up (for example, the Ocean nine twice) before you book. Rates aren't published online.

Rental prices drop after noon and again after 3 p.m., a good hint that afternoon golf here is the value option.
