Baja Lobster Co.

Three minutes. That's the walk from Villa 1 to Baja Lobster Co., the closest marina restaurant to us, in the Marina Golden Zone by Dock A just behind Hacienda Beach Club. You can sit indoors with air conditioning or outside on the pier, looking over the yachts toward the Land's End hills.

The name tells you what to order. Reviewers in 2026 mention lobster tail, a lobster roll, lobster bisque, oysters Rockefeller, seafood towers, ceviche, tempura shrimp tacos, calamari, clam chowder and red snapper. There's also a paella negra (made with squid ink), and one dessert people keep bringing up: a fried cheesecake. If you've been out fishing, the kitchen has prepared guests' own catch.

It's open from noon to 10 PM daily, with live music some evenings and a good view of the fireworks on nights when they go off over the marina. Service gets a lot of praise, with servers named in recent reviews. The complaints are about pricing clarity: bottled water charged without being asked, oyster prices, and change given in pesos at an unfavorable rate. Ask before you order water or oysters, and pay by card if you don't want to deal with currency.

It's a reliable, easy seafood dinner a few steps from the villa, better for lobster and shellfish than for a creative tasting menu. Walk out of the resort's street side toward the marina and follow the boardwalk to Dock A. The same address also houses Jack's Steakhouse, handy if half your group wants steak. For a special night, ask for a pier-side table when you book on OpenTable and arrive just before sunset.
