Mango Deck

Mango Deck is one of the most recognisable names on Médano Beach, a big open-air restaurant and beach club that calls itself Cabo's most iconic. Its tables spill onto the sand, with views of the bay and the Arch at Land's End, and it is the place many visitors picture when they think of a day on Médano: music, cold drinks, beach games and a steady stream of water-taxi and boat traffic offshore.

The mood is energetic rather than quiet. Mango Deck is known for live music, emcee-led contests and themed parties throughout the year, from Super Bowl Sunday to New Year's Eve, and it also serves breakfast for early beachgoers and a weekend buffet. The menu leans on seafood and Mexican favourites, served casually, and lounge chairs on the sand make it easy to settle in for an afternoon.

Skip the taxi: it's a short, easy walk east along Médano Beach from Hacienda Beach Club. Go in the late morning for a table close to the water, or mid-afternoon if you want the party at its height.
