Outpost

Most of Cabo's top-rated restaurants on TripAdvisor only do dinner. Outpost is the exception: it's open all day, from 8 AM until midnight (1 AM on some weekends, per Google). Find it on the corner of Boulevard Paseo de la Marina and Calle Cabo San Lucas, at the far western end of the marina where the boardwalk meets the foot of Pedregal, a 12-minute walk along the water from Villa 1.

The unusual part is on the roof. Outpost grows its own vegetables and herbs in around 30 planting beds up there, and you can book a short tour for a small group. The same roof has a terrace bar for cocktails and tapas, with live music some nights. Downstairs there's an air-conditioned dining room and a patio hung with chandeliers, so there's always somewhere comfortable to sit whatever the heat.

Breakfast is the best time to go. September 2026 reviewers ordered tres leches French toast, eggs Benedict, a shrimp omelette and huevos rancheros. Later in the day, the short-rib tacos, sea bass ceviche and a margarita flight come up often. The English menu is published as a PDF on their website; it's dated 2024, so expect some changes. Book through OpenTable or WhatsApp for dinner or for a group; breakfast is usually easier to walk into.

Families at breakfast, couples at dinner, friends on the rooftop: it works for almost everyone. It's pet-friendly and has free valet parking. Prices are mid-range for the marina rather than cheap. After breakfast you're a short walk from the water taxis to Lover's Beach, and Romeo y Julieta is just up the road for an old-school Italian dinner.
