The course
The club opened in 2007 with one Nicklaus nine and one Norman nine, and added Nicklaus's Vista nine in 2018, so there are now three nines (Ocean, Vista and Mission) played in pairs of par 72. From the back tees the combinations run 7,166 to 7,213 yards, rated around 75 with slopes up to 145, so it's a stiff test from the tips.
The Ocean nine has the shoreline holes: the 5th and 6th play down toward the water, with the 6th tee more than 100 feet above its green. The whole property looks over the Sea of Cortez and the marina.
Green fees 2026 to 2027
Questro Golf's published rates for high season (November 1, 2026 to May 15, 2027) are $395 in the morning, $320 early twilight (12:30 to 1:20) and $295 twilight. Shoulder weeks drop to $335, and low season (July to mid-October 2026) was $280, with $210 twilight. The fee covers a shared cart, range balls and all food and drink on the course. A two-round pass is $670 in high season.
Tips
Carts are shared, so singles get paired. Pace of play is set at 4 hours 30 minutes. One thing to confirm when you book: a Questro membership page describes the Mission nine as members-only while the public rates include it, so ask which nines you'll play. After golf, San José del Cabo is ten minutes away for dinner, and La Playita is next to the marina.
Getting to Puerto Los Cabos Golf Club from Villa 1
About 39 km from Villa 1, 45 to 50 minutes: Highway 1 to San José del Cabo, then east toward La Playa and the Puerto Los Cabos marina. Leave extra time at morning rush hour.
