Surfing La Pastora

It's a right point break for intermediate and advanced surfers, best on winter swells. There are rocks at the point and no services or lifeguard, so this isn't a place to learn; beginners should go to Cerritos.

Nearby

Between Todos Santos and La Pastora, the Las Tunas and Los Mangos area is where local turtle groups release hatchlings in season; see our sea turtle release page. A small restaurant, The Green Room, was serving food near the break as of early 2026.

Getting to La Pastora from Villa 1

About 87 km from Villa 1: Highway 19 to Todos Santos, then north on the sandy coastal roads through Las Tunas for about 8 km. Allow extra time for the dirt stretch.
