What the World Wide Technology Championship is
This is a full PGA TOUR event with FedExCup points on the line. It spent its first 16 years in the Riviera Maya before moving to Los Cabos in 2023, and it's been at Diamante's Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal course since. The purse is US$6 million, and Ben Griffin set the tournament record of 29 under in 2025.
Tournament week runs November 2 to 8, with the four competitive rounds Thursday to Sunday, November 5 to 8. There's a fan zone and VIP hospitality options on site.
Tickets and planning
Tickets are sold through the official site (tickets.wwtchampionship.com) and are non-refundable. We don't list prices here because they change by day and package; check the site for current rates, plus the parking and directions page before you go.
Early November in Cabo is hot in the sun, and a golf course has little shade. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a refillable bottle if allowed. Thursday and Friday are the easiest days to follow a group around; the weekend is busier. For golf you can actually play that week, see our Cabo San Lucas golf courses guide.
Getting to Diamante
Diamante is on the Pacific side northwest of downtown, about 20 to 25 minutes by car from Médano Beach in normal traffic. Tournament traffic adds time, especially around the start and finish of each day, so leave early. Uber and taxis both work; follow the tournament's parking and shuttle instructions if you drive. Our getting around Cabo guide has more on rides and rental cars.
After a long day in the sun, head back toward the marina for dinner. Sunset Monalisa is on the way back along the corridor if you want a view; otherwise the Médano Beach spots are a short walk from the villa.
