Taboo Beach Club

Taboo Beach Club is part of Grupo Rosa Negra, the group behind some of Mexico's best-known party restaurants, and it brings that style to Médano Beach. The setting mixes luxury with a bohemian, rustic look: whitewashed stone walls, wooden ceilings, handcrafted details, a poolside restaurant, lounge chairs, cabanas and daybeds facing the bay and the Arch, with the Médano Beach crowds passing along the waterline below.

The food is Mediterranean with an emphasis on fresh seafood, served alongside crafted cocktails, a premium champagne list and a shisha bar. A resident DJ sets the soundtrack, with live saxophone and violin sets, and Fridays are billed as Ladies' Day with a complimentary welcome cocktail. Taboo is adults only (18+) and is a popular venue for bachelorette parties and group celebrations.

Taboo is on Médano Beach east of Hacienda Beach Club, an easy walk along the sand. The beach club is open from late morning until early evening, while the restaurant is booked separately through Grupo Rosa Negra's reservation system. Book a day pass or bed in advance for weekends and holidays, and dress for a stylish beach club rather than a casual beach bar.
