Cabo Events in May 2027

May has few headline events in Los Cabos, and we'd rather tell you that than pad the list. Two dates stand out: May 10 is Mexican Mother's Day, when local restaurants are packed from lunch on, and the free San José del Cabo Jazz Festival usually takes over the plaza on a Friday and Saturday in late May (2027 dates not yet announced). Otherwise it's a month for the sea: calm water on the bay side, good visibility for diving and snorkeling, and the start of warmer-water fishing. The San José art walk usually keeps running on Thursdays until the season ends in June.

There's no rain to speak of and humidity is low, so the heat feels manageable, but the midday sun is strong. Do the beach early and late, and spend the middle of the day in the shade or the pool. The Eastern Pacific hurricane season officially opens May 15, though storms this early almost never affect Cabo.
