December 2027 in Cabo San Lucas

December 12 is the Día de la Virgen de Guadalupe, the most important religious feast of the Mexican year, and las posadas follow on December 16 to 24 with processions, piñatas and ponche. The Geminid meteor shower usually peaks around December 13 to 14.

Whale season normally opens December 15, and the first humpbacks arrive in the bay. Christmas Eve, Nochebuena, is the big family dinner in Mexico, so some local restaurants close or run set menus; book early. See our private chef guide if you'd rather eat in.

New Year's Eve is the busiest night of the year on Médano Beach and around the marina, with fireworks from hotels and venues along the bay. Evenings are cool, around the mid 50s, so bring layers.
