When and where
There is no official spring break event in Cabo; it's simply the weeks when US and Canadian colleges are off, mostly the first three weeks of March. In 2027, Semana Santa (Holy Week) follows from March 21 to 28, when Mexican families fill the beaches, so the whole month is busy. Our Semana Santa page covers that week.
The action centers on Médano Beach, right in front of Hacienda Beach Club, with daytime beach-club parties at places like Mango Deck and nights around the marina and downtown clubs.
Party week or family week?
Groups who want the party will be in the right place. Our groups and bachelor guide has tips on booking tables, boats and transport. Families and couples should know that the busiest stretch of Médano gets loud in the afternoons. The good news: whale season is still running, the weather is near perfect, and a villa with its own pool is a calm base away from the crowd.
If you want March weather without the crowds, aim for the last days of February or early April after Easter. Our best time to visit guide weighs the options.
Practical tips
Book flights, boats and restaurant tables well ahead. Prices for everything, from pangas to villas, rise in March. Use licensed taxis or rideshare at night and agree on the fare first. Drink water; the sun is strong even when it feels mild.
Getting around
Traffic around the marina and downtown slows to a crawl on March evenings. From Villa 1 it's quicker to walk the beach to the marina than to drive. For nights out, use licensed taxis or rideshare, agree fares first, and keep the villa address handy. Our getting around guide has the details, and if you want to escape the crowd for a day, a trip to Todos Santos is about an hour up the coast.
