Hydrotherapy without a treatment
Most resort spas only open their thermal areas to people who book a treatment. Viceroy publishes a hydrotherapy access fee of USD 125 for 60 minutes (checked September 2026), which covers the vitality pools, thermal chambers, ice fountains, experience showers, sauna, steam room, jacuzzis and cold plunge. There is also a 60-minute Thermal Journey with herbal elements if you want the circuit guided.
The spa is about 11,000 square feet: smaller than the Corridor giants, but the thermal area is well equipped.
Signature treatments
The menu uses Baja and Mexican ingredients more than most:
- Tranquil Damiana (90 minutes): a massage that uses ASMR techniques and damiana, the Baja herb
- Herbal Dream Catcher (90 minutes): an energy-cleansing ritual with cupping
- Cacao Healing Experience (120 minutes): a cacao exfoliation and massage
- Sublime Lift Facial (90 minutes)
- Harmonyum Healing, a meditative technique the resort offers exclusively
Hours, ages and booking
THE SPA is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with treatments outside those hours by request. Guests must be 18 or older for most services; teens aged 13 to 17 can have treatments with a parent or guardian present, and there is a 30 to 60 minute children's massage. It is a smoke-free area. Getting there from Villa 1
Viceroy is on Paseo Malecón San José in the San José del Cabo hotel zone, roughly 20 miles from Médano Beach along the Corridor. Allow 35 to 40 minutes by taxi, Uber or private driver. It makes sense to combine with an afternoon in San José: stay in town for the Thursday art walk in season, or dinner at a restaurant in the historic center.

Who it suits
Adults who mainly want a hydrotherapy session, and anyone spending the day in San José anyway. If the drive is too much, the Hacienda Beach Club spa is a short walk from Villa 1.
