Cabo Events in February 2027
The best month for whales, one of the driest months of the year, and a carnival two hours up the road.
February 2027 in Los Cabos
Most whale captains in Cabo will tell you February is the month: humpback mothers with calves, breaching, and the best odds of a close pass. It's also peak season for the gray whale lagoons and the La Paz whale sharks, so it's the month to plan a wildlife-heavy trip. Start with our whale watching page.
Carnaval in La Paz usually runs the days before Ash Wednesday, which falls on February 10, 2027, with parades and music along the malecón. Official dates weren't out when we checked. It's about two hours from Médano Beach and makes a good overnight.
February is one of the driest months, with clear skies, highs around 80°F and cool nights. Valentine's week gets busy with couples, so book dinners ahead.
