October is the fishing calendar's big month. If the usual pattern holds, the Los Cabos Billfish Tournament opens the first half of the month, followed by Bisbee's Los Cabos Offshore and then Bisbee's Black & Blue in the second half, with free weigh-ins at the marina each fishing day. The 2027 dates weren't published when we checked; we'll add them as they're announced.

Around October 18, Cabo San Lucas celebrates its patron saint and founding with a fair in the town plaza, and Todos Santos holds its fiestas around October 12. Halloween rolls straight into Día de Muertos on November 1 and 2.

Early October is still hot, humid and inside hurricane season; by late month the evenings turn pleasant. Water is warm enough to swim all day. Plan meals around the marina's busiest nights with our nightlife guide.
