Cabo Events in October 2026

October is fishing month in Cabo San Lucas. The Los Cabos Billfish Tournament opens the run on October 7 to 11, Bisbee's Los Cabos Offshore follows on October 12 to 17, and Bisbee's Black & Blue, one of the richest marlin tournaments anywhere, closes it on October 19 to 24. The weigh station in front of Puerto Paraíso is free to watch in the afternoons and it's a genuine spectacle. See our sportfishing page if you want to get on the water yourself.

Cabo San Lucas also celebrates its patron saint and founding around October 18, with a fair in the town plaza (the 2026 program hadn't been published when we checked). Todos Santos holds its own fiestas around October 12. Sammy Hagar plays his birthday bash shows at Cabo Wabo on October 9, 11 and 13 (tickets go by lottery), and the month ends with Halloween in the marina bars, running straight into Día de Muertos.

Weather-wise it's still summer: hot, humid early in the month, and within the tail of hurricane season, with the water still close to its warmest of the year. By the last week the air starts to dry out. Our hurricane season guide explains the real risk.
