Mandala Cabo San Lucas

Mandala is the big downtown nightclub in Cabo San Lucas: DJs, lights, VIP tables and bottle service on Boulevard Lázaro Cárdenas, next to El Squid Roe. It is open every night from 8 p.m. to 2:45 a.m. and it is the one club in town that enforces a real dress code. You can walk there from Villa 1 in about 15 minutes.

What to know

What a night at Mandala is like

Music is EDM, pop, top 40 and older hits: crowd-pleasers rather than underground DJ sets. It fills late. Most nights it is quiet before 11 p.m. and busiest after midnight, especially on weekends, during spring break and around US holidays. If you want a table, that timing matters (see below).

Mandala sells its tables through the same official site as La Vaquita, a few blocks away, and the brand also runs clubs in Cancún and Playa del Carmen, so if you have been to a Mandala in the Caribbean you know the format.

Dress code

Smart casual. Caps, hats, swimwear, sandals, flip-flops and tank tops are not allowed, and the door staff do turn people away. Men should wear closed shoes and a shirt with sleeves. Bring a physical ID; you may be asked for it at the door.

Tables, packages and prices

Tables and packages are sold on MandalaTickets.com, the group's official site, where Mandala Los Cabos packages were listed from MXN 5,400 in September 2026. Packages are only guaranteed if you check in before 11:30 p.m.; after that the table goes to whoever is there. The card you booked with and a physical ID are requested on arrival.

Walk-ins without a table can usually get in, but at peak times you may queue and pay a cover at the door. Drinks are priced for tourists; many groups have a few drinks at a bar first.

Getting there from Villa 1

Walk along Médano Beach or the marina boardwalk toward downtown and cut up to Boulevard Lázaro Cárdenas; it is about 15 minutes on foot. Going home at 2 or 3 a.m., take a taxi or an Uber from the boulevard rather than walking back along the dark beach.

Most people start the night nearby: dinner downtown, then a round at El Squid Roe or live music at Cabo Wabo Cantina. Our Cabo San Lucas nightlife guide covers the rest of the bar scene and safety at night.

Who it suits

It's built for bachelor and bachelorette groups, birthdays and anyone in their 20s and 30s who wants a proper club night. Reviews are mixed (Mandala scores lower on TripAdvisor than the cantinas), mostly over prices and crowds. If that is a concern, book a table and arrive early. Planning a group trip?
